iIN 1987, GUNSHI SET A GUINESS WORLD RECORD BY BREAKING UNTREATED ICE WITH A PUNCH, and, except for one of his sons, Tim, nobody in the world was able to tie or break this fantastic record!

The reason nobody can break it is because it requires at least 186 psi of force and extremely conditioned hands to survive the impact generated.

There are those who cheat by breaking ice, none with the hands, mostly elbows, they add salt to the water, or make cuts with a chainsaw that the audiece can't see!

In this case, the people for Guiness were present, the water was analysed before it was frozen, and each piece was checked for cuts or cracks prior to the breaking.

This picture is posted on the walls of many karate schools in Japan today to show you the power of concentration and discipline that is the foundation of karate.

Set in 1987-never broken since !

" Everyone who tried this record broke their hands !"

.In 1961, while doing a stronman show on TV, Gunshi set a world record for the one-handed deadlift by lifting 505 pounds at 160 pounds bodyweight. The record was filmed and witnessed by several prominent local celebraties and businessmen. The rules were pretty strict, no hand wraps or ties, bar needed to grabbed excatly in the center, the free hand could not be on the lifters other knee or leg, and the bar had to be held at the end of the lift for 3 seconds. (pictures of the actual lift will be posted here later)

In 1983, Gunshi set a guiness record for non-stop judo throws by throwing team members in succession for 13 straight hours, with the average time per throw being 25 seconds, for 1567 throws in that time period, he had a 5 minute water break at each hour, but often just took 2 or 3 minutes.

Others have done this type of record attempts, but none did over 1500 throws in just 13 hours, and none included sacrifice throws as the one in the foto of the record itself.

Judo record-non-stop throws for 13 hours - Guiness over 1500 throws !

In 2010, Gunshi, at 70 yeard old,  set three Guiness records in one night :
1....Oldest person to fight in professional MMA

2....Oldest combined ages of 2 MMA fighters at 119 years

3....Oldest professional contact sport fighter to compete in a professional bout

When he faced and defeated 48 year old Larry Brubaker, a former professional wrestler and kickboxer, who outweighed him by 55 pounds. The bout went two rounds, and Gunshi won by an ankle lock after being staggared by a right hand by Brubaker in the first round...Gunshi had to go to the human rights tribunal to overturn the banning of this fight by the local boxing commission, who deemed it was too dangerous, and they feared the kicks by Brubaker from his kickboxing background might be dangerous, so shin guards were required.

Gunshi takes hard right to the head that wobbled him, in between rounds he was still feeling the effects - but rallied to win with ankle lock in 2nd round...........

Gunshi actually set other un-official records that were not recorded: But he doesn't talk about them because to him, they are not important, these 5 here are motivational for his followers, the MMA bout at 70 was to state that age is just a number, for seniors to go out and live, but if you study his life, you see he always took risks and challenges, in the arts, he just wanted to test himself, winning was important, so he always prepared himself long before he took these tests.....and you will notice he doesnt wear a belt full of stripes, tons of crests, or other trappings to draw attention to himself,  actions speak louder that symbols.

These are impressive records, but they are not how his students remember him............
