The IMALB is not a diploma mill ! It is a legally incorporated non-profit corporation under the corporate act. Its a public servive designed to add legitimacy to all martial artists or coaches to better serve the public.

 

Records of all persons who join and are licenses/ registered will be sent to the nearest Better Buisiness Bureau (or consumer fraud protection agencies ) on a regular basis. (likewise, anyone who is found to comikt fraud, will have their membership voided and the BBB will be notified)

 

 

In an age where an estimated 90% of martial art teachers and coaches are simply not qualified, nor authorized to teach the martial arts, its refreshing that there is a place that will assure those credentials are available and are genuine.

 

There is no such thing as a soke board made-up of first generation founders who co-sign each others certificates! That is not how it has been done in Asia for 1000 years, instead. in all cases, grandmasters were always officers in charge of a military division.

 

Since these are asian-based martial arts, it holds that the correct protocol is used today, which is why we exist.
